TutorOnDemand is a service that immediately connects students through a video teleconference with tutors and subject-matter experts from throughout the world.

If youre a student you can connect with your perfect tutor (1) when you need them - now, for instance! and (2) for as long as they need them.

If youre a tutor, TutorOnDemand is a service that provides you with the ability to make money immediately teaching what you love anytime and virtually anywhere. Did you get an A in statistics last semester? Now you can apply that knowledge and help others around the world understand the "central limit theorem!" Do you love teaching Spanish grammar? Now you can make money doing it while youre waiting for class.

At its heart, TutorOnDemand by Admitsters goal is to bring the world of one-on-one tutoring to your fingertips at a price point that everyone can afford. Why spend $100 per hour on a lesson Sunday evening, when you need ten minutes of help with your homework now, and are willing to pay a few dollars to get it!

How does TutorOnDemand by Admitster work?

For now, it only works if you have an iPhone, or iPad/iPod with an internet connection, and you need to download the app for free from the Apple store here.

If youre a student, you will also need a valid credit card to make payments for sessions, and if you are a tutor, you can be paid via check, direct deposit or via an online Venmo account. We recommend Venmo because its the quickest - get paid right away, and the only thing you need to give us is your Venmo email account (more below)!

For both tutors and students - the first minute of each conversation is free! The first few seconds will be taken up by the connection, but the remaining time is supposed to be used by each of you to figure out if this is something that will be helpful. If youre a student, this is your chance to see if the tutor is going to work for you for this session. If not, be polite, but feel free to end the conversation before your trial minute is up.
